5 Quick & Healthy Breakfast Ideas

Monday morning. Sigh.  Lets get ready for another work week by fueling our bodies with awesome & nourishing food!  Breakfast kick starts my day! {Okay maybe it’s the coffee but good food can’t hurt either 🙂 }

I thought I would give y’all 5 easy and quick recipes that are also good for you 🙂 add or take away anything you please!

I typically have 30 minutes from the time I wake up to when my daughter wakes up.  Recently, while she’s been teething, it’s often less.  But I need breakfast. So here are my favorite breakfasts for Monday-Friday when I have to be at work at 7:30 and still need a good meal!

Enjoy

1. Banana Smoothie:

I got a similar recipe from a fellow blogger and added some extra goodness to it that I like 🙂

Banana + 1/4 cup chilled coffee + 2 tablespoons of almond butter.  I also made 1/4 cup of oatmeal with cinnamon and honey for some added energy. Place the oatmeal on the bottom or the top or mixed it 🙂 Enjoy! It’s so yummy!IMG_4814

2. Poached Egg + English Muffin + Avocado

Make it just like it sounds 🙂 and add salt & pepper to taste. Takes less then 5 minute 🙂

3. Poached Egg + Ham {from Sprouts} + 1/2 TBS of cream cheese 🙂

Assemble just like it sounds 🙂 I toast my english muffin first!

4.  Corn Tortillas & Eggs

This is really easy too! I warm up some corn tortillas, scramble eggs, then I add some of my {homemade salsa} and some avocado.  It’s really easy!! Enjoy { I bet my husband would add potatoes and hot sauce to this recipe! }

5. Oatmeal

Oatmeal is pretty universal when it comes to healthy and filling breakfast foods!  {it’s also great for breastfeeding mama’s!} I boil a cup of water and add quick oats from Sprouts.  Then I add organic honey, cinnamon, brown sugar, and banana on top 🙂 Enjoy
